Iranian Expatriate, Assaulted By Fake Police And Stolen

A person disguised as a securityman and driving a Prado intercepted an Iranian expatriate, assaulted him and stole KD 1,000. He fled the scene immediately after the incident. The victim lodged a complaint with officers at the Sulaibiya police station and said the accused, who had with him a pair of handcuffs, ordered him to show his identification document. The accused then dragged him to the Prado, stole the aforementioned sum, and fl ed the scene. A case was registered.
