Jail For Blogger

The Criminal Court sentenced blogger Saqr Al-Hashash in absentia to 5 years in prison with hard labor based on the accusation of violating State Security Law and Cyber Crimes law.

He was earlier referred to court by the Public prosecution on charges of posting statements deemed offensive to the Amiri entity on his Twitter account, an offense attracting prison term of 80 years. It is noteworthy Al-Hashash is currently out of Kuwait, says Al-Seyassah.
