Jail Upheld For Two Men

The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Adel Al-Huwaidhi upheld a previous court ruling, which sentenced a police officer and a Kuwaiti civilian to fiveyear imprisonment each with hard labor. The court also ordered termination of appointment of the first defendant from the Police Force, and ordered seizure of a fake report and illicit drugs used to implicate a Kuwaiti couple. The officer, based on information gathered from his civilian accomplice who planned to disgrace the couple, abused his position by storming the residence of the couple under the claim of carrying out an official search and arrest operation. The plaintiff counsel Lawyer Bushra Al-Hindal demanded temporary compensation worth KD 5,001 due to the dent that the police action had on the image of her clients.
