Jleeb Tops In Violations Related To Water And Electricity

Head of Judicial Arrest Unit in the Ministry of Electricity and Water Adnan Dashti said Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh has recorded the highest number of violations related to water and electricity, followed by Khaitan while Farwaniya Governorate ranked first among governorates in terms of irregularities, reports Al-Jarida daily.

In his interview with the daily, Dashti pointed out Minister of Electricity and Water Dr Khalid Al-Fadhil, Undersecretary Eng Mohammed Bushahri and the assistant undersecretaries are interested in the role played by judicial arrest teams and their works.

He made clear that anyone blocked by the ministry will not be allowed to use the corresponding facilities and services unless the violation is addressed and arrears are paid. He added such persons will be referred to the Investigation Department or Public Prosecution where the necessary legal action will be taken against them. He disclosed the total number of violations and irregularities recorded from the beginning of 2019 until Aug 6 reached 533 as per the latest judicial arrest statistics.
