Kuwait's Al-kharafi Wins Gold, Silver Medals At International Equestrian Championships

Kuwaiti horse rider Ali Al-Kharafi has won two gold and silver medals and the ongoing international Equestrian Championship in the Netherlands. On the first of the four-day day tournament, Al-Kharafi won the gold medal in the 125 cm-barrier jumping in which 115 horseman took part, coming from Europe, the US, Mexico, Brazil and some Athe organizing committee said in a release on Friday.

Al-Kharafi broke the record of a Dutch horse rider, after a fierce competition that he ended successfully with no mistakes, at 24.22 seconds, followed by another Dutch, 25.82 seconds. A Swedish female horse rider won third place, with 26.47 seconds. According to the release, Al-Kharafi won second place and the silver medal in the second day of competition with 52.04 seconds. The gold medal went to a Dutch female hors rider who recorded 51.79 seconds. Al-Kharafi voiced pleasure for the two ranks and medals dedicating the victory to the Kuwait people. He vowed to do his best to achieve more top places over the coming two days.
