Kuwait Airways Denies Airlines Maintenance Termination

24 April 2018 Termination

Kuwait Airways Monday denied reported termination of maintenance services it was offering for other airlines in and outside the State of Kuwait.

It explained the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) informed Kuwait Airways it was suspending its maintenance services for engines and equipment of other airlines subjected to EASA's regulations.

Kuwait Airways will thus need to adjust technical criteria to meet EASA's requirements in order to resume the maintenance service, it added in a statement.

It added that it was addressing the EASA's needs as soon as possible. Kuwait Airways said its maintenance services record was clean and reputable.

It asserted it would always keep safety as its number one priority.
Kuwait Airways was established in 1953 and is flying to 39 destinations.
