Kuwait Awards Airport Expansion To Turkish Limak Firm

The Government approved a request by the Ministry of Public Works to finish a contracting process with the Turkish firm Limak Construction, to build, furnish and maintain a new passenger building at Kuwait Airport.

This announcement was made by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Shaikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah following  Cabinet's weekly meeting last Monday. Finishing this project as soon as possible is a pressing matter in order to smooth to flow of passengers and transportation, the Minister pointed out.

Limak Construction is one of the most prestigious and top-tier global contractor companies, specialized in the construction of airports, ports, highways, dams, hydroelectric power plants, treatment plants, industrial plants, pipelines and hotels.

Won by Limak Construction, Kuwait International Airport’s new terminal construction is the largest tender won abroad in a single package by Turkish contractors.

The first stage of the new terminal will be built with a capacity of 13 million passenger capacity and the improvement to be made later it can be expand up to 25 million.

After the tender notification of approval to our company and completion of necessary procedures our construction works of the new terminal will begin.
