Kuwait Ban On Thermoses Takes Effect Jan 1 2019

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has banned imports of thermoses that containing asbestos which could lead to cancer.

The decision includes banning the importation of all materials used in the production of asbestos, including containers for keeping cold and hot beverages and all contact with food, it added.

The statement noted the ministry will start of an inspection campaign to withdraw random samples from local markets to ensure that they are free of any substances harmful to consumer health.
