Kuwait Inflation Edges Up To 1.5 Pct In November

Kuwait - Kuwait's statistics office reported the following November consumer price data on Sunday. KUWAIT CONSUMER INFLATION 11/17 10/17 pct change month/month 0.0 0.3 pct change year/year 1.5 1.4 NOTE: Starting with June 2017 data, the statistics office changed the base year for the consumer price index to 2013 from 2007, saying the accompanying changes in weightings in the consumer basket had the effect of raising inflation rates for past years slightly. Prices of food and beverages, which account for nearly 17 percent of the new basket, rose 0.5 percent in November. Housing costs, which account for over 33 percent of consumer expenses, fell 0.3 percent. Transport costs climbed 1.9 percent.
