Kuwait Muncipality Conducted Inspection Campaigns Against Jleeb Makeshift Markets
Officials from the Public Hygiene and Road Usage Department at Farwaniya Municipality recently embarked on an inspection campaign against street hawkers and makeshift markets in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, and confiscated 10 trucks of fruits and vegetables.
Chairman of the department Sa’ad Al-Khreinj issued a statement indicating the Municipal officials had seized several clothing. He noted 60 personnel participated in the campaign with equipment and the department has set solid plan to counter negative phenomena and violation of regulations. He assured that necessary steps will be taken against violators based on directives from the Director of Farwaniya Municipality Engineer Mohammad Sarkhou.
In a related development, Chairman of Public Hygiene and Road Usage Department at Jahra Municipality Fahad Al-Qarefah disclosed that officials from the department carried out another campaign in Amghara and removed 80 loads of garbage. He also said the officials lifted 147 bags and 11 loads of solid waste, in addition to six loads of planks in the scrap yard and 63 loads of used tires. He noted the officials made use of 4 caterpillars and 45 employees in the campaign
