Kuwait Municipality Seized 3 Tons Of Expired Food Products

The Public Relations Department at Kuwait Municipality confirmed the continuation of inspection campaigns by the Violations Removal Department at the Municipality branch in Jahra, reports Al-Anba daily.

These campaigns targeted restaurants, cooperative societies, foodstuff wholesale centers and food companies as part of the ongoing media campaign entitled, “Your Health is our Responsibility,” resulting in the confiscation and disposal of three tons of expired food products.

Head of the Violations Removal Department Sulaiman Al-Ghais disclosed the confiscated expired food items include 2,500 kilograms of sweets, 310 kilograms of vegetables and 206 kilograms of meat in addition to the issuance of 17 citations for various violations.
