Kuwait Municipality Targets Land-grabbers

Officials from Kuwait Municipality embarked on a campaign at Sulaibiya area and demolished illegal structures built by individuals and companies through which they encroached upon government property covering millions of meters without valid license, reports Al-Anba daily.

Director of Public Safety at Jahra Municipality Branch Dr Mubarak Al- Buayes said the Municipality was determined to demolish all encroachments and retrieve government property from land grabbers within the area. Jahra Municipality officials from the Safety Department and Emergency Team coordinated with security operatives from Sulaibiya Police Station to implement the campaign in the early hours of Monday and discovered a single company occupying almost one million square/meters of space without valid license.
