Kuwait Proposes A Unified Gcc Food Security Network To Achieve Food Security

Kuwait offered a proposal to establish a food security network among Arab countries in order to achieve food security in the Region, and to establish fast lines at customs centers to ensure the transport of basic products such as food and medical supplies.
The food security idea was discussed during the meeting between trade ministers and their agents to discuss the current situation. The meeting was held over television by the Minister of Trade and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan, today, with trade ministers in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry said, in a press release, that the ministers discussed the economic effects of the Coronavirus epidemic on the Gulf states, as well as the recommendations of the undersecretaries of the ministries of commerce in the Gulf countries on the same topic.
Al-Tijara pointed out that Kuwait confirmed the continuation of joint coordination at this stage and the exchange of information on the crisis and bringing together efforts to obtain the food supplies needed at the present time.
