Kuwait Will Not Tolerate Those Who Abuse And Ridicule Country Or Any Government Worker
The General Department for Public Relations and Security Media of the Ministry of Interior, in a statement said, the government of Kuwait will not tolerate anyone if either the country or the employees at the Kuwait International Airport are subjected to ridicule or verbal abuse, saying such incidents are punishable by the laws of the country, reports Al-Anba.
Following the issue of an Egyptian woman who allegedly verbally abused Kuwait and employees at the airport while in transit from Bahrain, a citizen of Denmark of Arab origin is said to have also made an offensive comments after arriving at the airport.
The ministry pointed out the Danish woman arrived at the airport accompanied by her daughter and applied for a tourist visa. The officials at the airport discovered the validity of one of the passports was less than six months and the extension was handwritten, which violates the terms and conditions for entry visa.
The hand-written extension raised suspicions and the duo was referred to the concerned authority and then to the airport hotel in preparation to return them back to the country they came from.
In the meantime, the Danish Foreign Ministry was contacted and the latter confirmed the validity of the handwritten extension and immediately a tourist visa for them issued. But what the woman uttered and circulated in the social media, offensive to Kuwait will not be tolerated and that a lawsuit has been initiated against her because the airport passports officers dealt with the mother and her daughter in line with the law.
The Department affirms that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has praised and classified Kuwait International Airport among the advanced and internationally developed airports when it comes to the application of stipulated safety and security measures and is committed to international protocols in the reception of visitors.
The Ministry of Interior said all Airport employees – officers, noncommissioned officers and civilians – work around the clock with total dedication to serve all visitors to Kuwait.
