Kuwaiti Actor Died In Egyptair Plane Crash

A Kuwaiti PhD and actor, aged 57, was among the victims of the EgyptAir flight MS804 plane which crashed yesterday.

Abdulmohsen Mohammed Jaber Suhail Al-Mutairi travelled to France to treat his wife, who is suffering from slipped disc, as well as his handicapped son.

Holder of a PhD in accounting since 2003, he took over as Kuwait Investment Authority's Chairman after retiring from Kuwait Airways in 1986.

He was a lecturer at the General Authority for Applied Education and Training

The Kuwait Investment Authority asked him to fly to Cairo to attend a key economic conference there, so he took the MS804 flight and was planning to stay in Egypt for one day only.

Dr. Al-Mutairi who featured in several plays, including 'Om Ali', is survived by six children and a sick wife.
