Kuwaiti Arrested For Impersonating Police And Robbing Expats

16 December 2018 Crime News

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a Kuwaiti for impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the arrest came after a number of expatriates filed complaints accusing the man of robbing their cell phones and money. The complainants said the man claimed to be a security official and checked their IDs, and robbed them under threat.

Police then intensified their efforts and caught the man red-handed while assaulting a driver of an Indian restaurant. The Kuwaiti is said to be a formal criminal and during interrogation admitted to the charges filed against him. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities
