Kuwaiti Arrested For Trying To Rob A Bank

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested one of the two suspects who recently tried in vain to rob a bank branch, reports Al-Rai daily. One of the suspects who is in police custody, believed to be a Kuwaiti, was recently released from prison and the other is a bedoun who is still at large. 
According to police interrogations, the main suspect used his brother’s car to commit the crime. He is said to have removed the number plates to mislead police and prevent arrest. Police said the man has confessed to buying a hammer and breaking the glass of the ATM machine, and when the alarm triggered, both men escaped from the scene fearing police arrival. A security source said that the Kuwaiti has been detained for more interrogation while a search is on for the fugitive.

Cash reported stolen: An Egyptian expatriate filed a case against an unknown individual who stole KD 140 from his bank account using a bank card and purchased mobile recharge cards. According to the security source, the expat told securitymen that he has no idea who the suspect is. Investigations have been launched to find the unknown suspect.
