Kuwaiti Attempt To Escape From The Country

An unidentified Kuwaiti who broke through the Salmi gate in a vain attempt to escape from the country was finally arrested by the Saudi authorities and their Kuwaiti counterpart sounded an alarm and was subsequently handed over to the Kuwaiti authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting familiar sources said the arrest was possible following coordination between the Saudi and Kuwaiti security personnel manning the border points between Salmi and Riqei. Both sides are said to have erected gadgets and rubber dinghies to prevent the escape of persons on either side of the border.

This is in addition to installing electronic warning sirens to alert security personnel. When the Kuwaiti forced his way through the gate in his vehicle, an alarm sounded and the man was subsequently seized by the Saudi authorities and handed over to the Kuwaiti securitymen.
