Kuwaiti Girl Arrested Who Had Allegedly Eloped With Boyfriend

Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested an unidentified young Kuwaiti girl who had allegedly eloped from her home with her ‘boyfriend’ and had been absent from home for a long time, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the arrest came after the father filed a complaint with a police station in the Hawalli governorate.

In the complaint the father said, the daughter had made it impossible for him to trace her by constantly changing her cellphone number. He also blamed an unidentified person of inciting his daughter to elope. He also said the suspect was allegedly a non-Kuwaiti.

However, when the police informed the father that she was caught inside an apartment in the company of a male bedoun, the father was shocked and said the man might have introduced himself to his daughter as a Kuwaiti. The couple has been referred to the Public Prosecution
