A senior education source has dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s of the plan to replace expatriates and annual appointments of Kuwaitis in the ministry, stating the percentage of Kuwaitis in the Ministry of Education has exceeded 90 percent, which is the requirement of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in government institutions, reports Al- Rai daily.

“We met the CSC officials some time ago and discussed the administrative, educational and technical professions issues and came to the conclusion that the services of expatriates will not be terminated,” the source said.

The official wondered why the issue of termination of services of expatriates, surfaces from time to time which frustrates and creates some kind of instability among expatriates working in the ministry. The official said expatriates will continue to work in positions which the Kuwaitis are reluctant to take, most importantly the social and psychological services and some other disciplines such as physics, French language and physical education for girls.
