Man Arrested For Stealing Handbags, Cell Phones

An unidentified individual was arrested for stealing handbags, cell phones and other items from cars parked near jogging tracks in several areas, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Rumaithiya area when they noticed a man walking on a jogging track and running away as soon as he saw the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him and caught him. When questioned about the reason behind running from the police, the suspect admitted to committing five thefts. He was arrested and referred to the Criminal Investigations Department.
