Manpower And Government Restructuring Program Merger With Pam Carefully Planned
The decision to coalesce the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) and the executive apparatus of the state in the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) came after careful deliberation, said a Kuwaiti minister on Tuesday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Anas Al-Salah was speaking during parliament’s session, in which a request by MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf to refer the MGRP to a parliamentary committee dealing with health, social and labor issues was discussed.
As per the request approved by parliament, the aforementioned committee is tasked with preparing a report on the issue and submitting it ahead of parliament’s next session. “We are eager to protect the rights of Kuwaitis and will fully cooperate with the bodies involved before taking the necessary measures,” the Kuwaiti minister said.
Meanwhile, lawmakers also looked over a pair of thank you letters penned by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in which the Kuwaiti leaders thanked parliament for their Ramadan well-wishes.
Meanwhile, minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Hamid Al-Azmi reassured on the health of the head of Haroon Al-Rasheed high school following the attack he encountered recently. Al-Azmi assured the Ministry’s keenness on preserving the dignity of teachers and that it will continue further investigating the case of Hashim Al-Hashemi, head of the high school, who was attacked by a student while supervising the final exams.
In a statement to KUNA on Tuesday, Al-Azmi condemned the recent incident that occurred involving the Ministry of Education’s employees.
He stressed persistence by the Ministry in dealing with this type of case by protecting the rights of its employees, making sure that any verbal or physical attacks upon any of the educational body or students will face legal consequences.
The Minister revealed that surveillance cameras have been setup to help in the exam monitoring process to eliminate any doubt when it comes to dealing with these types of cases, while also monitoring any acts of cheating. This procedure is to create a calm and comfortable environment for the educational body and students during final exam sessions, said Al-Azmi.
