Mew Has Cautioned Against Encroaching On State Property And Sewage Networks
Ministry of Electricity and Water has cautioned against encroaching on state property and sewage networks, stating readiness to coordinate with concerned authorities in demolishing such encroachments and making legal arrest.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Water Operation and Maintenance Engineer Khalifa Al-Furaij affirmed that water emergency teams affiliated to the ministry recently detected massive encroachments in Jahra area where some people have built diwaniyas and rooms beyond the borderlines of their houses extending to state property.
He said the ministry received a complaint concerning the damage of a pipe that was supplying water to Taima Area. He stated officials were surprised to find a diwaniya and security guard room standing on top of the faulty pipeline, and those structures constituted hindrances to the repair activity to the point that they had to carry out an excavation inside the diwaniya.
He emphasized the ministry will always coordinate with Kuwait Municipality to demolish encroachments on the ministry’s water and electricity services, and that maintenance works on facilities below encroachments are extremely dangerous to the lives of its workers.
