Ministries Considering Ways To Provide Subsidy For Businesses
Relevant ministers have completed the basic procedures for implementing the Cabinet’s decision concerning subsidy for Kuwaiti youth who obtained home-business licenses, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the procedures include conditions and requirements for the issuance of such licenses. The businesses covered by these licenses have been determined, and the concerned state bodies have been automatically linked. Some licenses have already been issued and a number of projects are currently under implementation.
The sources said a number of ideas concerning ways for providing the subsidy by a number of state bodies including Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Kuwait Municipality have been presented.
They revealed that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has participated in presenting suggestions for provision of subsidy to 20 different permitted home businesses. These suggestions include those similar to subsidizing mobile businesses or providing subsidized raw materials and basic requirements for projects.
The sources affirmed that this process will involve providing necessary training by relevant state bodies along with provision of financial subsidy, as well as giving free consultation and answering the questions of youth with initiatives.
They stressed that finding job opportunities for the Kuwaiti youth, either in the public sector or private sector or through small businesses, is one among the top priorities of the government of Kuwait.
