Missing Boy Abdulaziz Found Dead In Amghar

The nine-day search for the missing child Abdulaziz Ahmad Shamlan Al-Azmi, who was born in the year 2000, has ended horrifi cally with an announcement made by Ministry of Interior that the DNA results have proved that the body which was found in Amghara Metal Scrapyard in South Jahra is of Al- Azmi.

In a press statement, the ministry explained that the search agencies from the General Department for Criminal Investigations have managed to determine the circumstances that led to the death of Al- Azmi.

According to security sources, the corpse was discovered in Amghara Metal Scrapyard Tuesday morning by security teams with the cooperation of several citizens. They said, “It appears the child was hiding under a heavy vehicle for protection from the sun and could have died of severe thirst”.

The sources explained that his parents identified the clothes, which were earlier found in the surrounding area, as the missing child’s. The body that was discovered clearly appeared to be that of a boy.

The body had a scar on the head, which the victim also had as a result of the treatments he underwent for severe headache. However, security agencies decided to wait until the DNA results were made available for announcing the identity of the corpse.

 

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased issued a statement in which they said, “With a saddened heart that believes in fate, our child and son of Kuwait Abdulaziz Al-Azmi has died. His body will be laid to rest in the Sulaibikhat cemetery Wednesday afternoon after Asr prayer.
