Moc To Implement Barcode System As Complete Curfew For Some Areas To Be Enforced

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved an electronic system that will allow citizens and expatriates covered by the total curfew to register their purchase request from cooperative societies, Al Rai reported.

The sources indicated that, according to this request, the consumer will receive a special barcode that will allow him to enter the store at the time of the curfew and shop, explaining that a copy of the barcode will be sent to the Ministry of Interior every time and the data of each consumer granted permission.
The cabinet has allowed for area-wise curfew to restrict movement of people in highly dense places and bring down the increasing number of COVID19 positive cases. Complete curfew areas have not been notified yet but the areas with dense population are the first to be implemented.
