05 June 2017 Crime News

Deputy Head of Municipal Council Meshal Al-Juwaizri expressed appreciation for the campaigns launched by the joint committee of Kuwait Municipality, Immigration Security Department, Public Manpower Authority and Ministry of Commerce and Industry against the violating grocery stores (bakalas) within private residential areas, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press release, he lamented that such violations have been on a rise especially in the new residential areas, to the extent that one block of a residential area has more than 15 such violating grocery stores. Al-Juwaizri stressed the need to increase such inspection campaigns and for the concerned state authorities to apply the law and regulations on all without exception. He also stressed the need to warn owners of the houses, which were rented out to expatriates for running such grocery stores, against supporting such a phenomenon.

The General Traffic Department, with the cooperation of Ministry of Public Works, declared that a diversion towards Farwaniya Hospital and Hamoud Al-Sabah Street opposite the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium was opened on Sixth Ring Road recently. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department urged all road users heading to Farwaniya Hospital and Hamoud Al-Sabah Street on Sixth Ring Road to be careful and follow the traffic rules, regulations and signboards.
