Moe Announced Suspending The Appointment Of Kuwaiti Teachers

As part of preparations for academic year 2018/2019, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education Dr Haitham Al-Athari announced suspending the appointment of Kuwaiti teachers in 10 different specialties, due to some 9,631 male and female teachers the ministry has in excess, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Athari explained the decision of suspending the appointment of Kuwaiti teachers in those 10 areas of expertise is linked to the extra number of teachers, indicating the ministry has redundant 151 male psychology and sociology teachers, 449 male Physical Education teachers, 2,841 female kindergarten teachers, 1,823 female Islamic Education teachers and 2,001 Social Studies teachers, in addition to 159 History and 107 Geography teachers, 100 in Philosophy, 868 in the Sciences, and 659 female Home Economics teachers.
