Moe Started Taking Procedures To Appoint New Kuwaiti Teachers For The Next Academic Year
The Ministry of Education on Sunday started taking procedures to appoint new Kuwaiti teachers for the next academic year, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources affirmed the ministry is now ready to receive these teachers in the hall of building number two.
On the appointment of non-Kuwaiti teachers locally, the ministry will receive them next Sunday; adding that the ministry will appoint new non-Kuwaiti employees on Aug 14. All new teachers will be required to undergo a training course for seven days – two days for the administrative aspect of their work and five days for the technical aspect.
Sources added the ministry intends to hire teachers locally as the two foreign contract committees sent to Egypt and Palestine did not achieve their objectives.
Academic
Sources affirmed this step aims to cover the need for teaching staff for the upcoming academic year, taking into consideration the opening of nine new schools in various educational districts. Meanwhile, the State Audit Bureau (SAB) continues to uncover irregularities in the Ministry of Education and it has demanded for the refund of about KD 70,000 paid to 14 female employees while they were on leave, reports Al-Qabas daily. Speaking to the daily, knowledgeable sources revealed the Bureau has warned the ministry about the irregularities in the payment of full salary for more than one year to female employees enjoying motherhood, child and family care leave.
The Bureau clarified this type of leave is granted to women without pay, sources added. And, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has opened the door for sports clubs to augment their budgets and incomes by granting a commercial license to each club for the establishment of an advertising and marketing company, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalid Al-Rawdan recently issued a decision to add and arrange advertising and marketing activities for sport clubs without branches, provided that approval is obtained from the Public Authority for Sports. Sources affirmed the decision took effect on Sunday.
