Moe To Accept Teachers With Good Rating
Ministry of Education is expected to accept teachers with (Good) certificate rating due to weak turnout of applicants to fill vacancies at schools in Sabah Al-Ahmed City after raising the certificate rating to (Very Good and Excellent), reports Annahar daily. The daily quoting educational sources affirmed the ministry’s intention to facilitate the procedure of admittance as applied in previous years. They pointed out that teachers with ‘Good’ certificate rating filed complaints with the Undersecretary of Education and requested for exclusion from the new condition. Sources reiterated the request will be reviewed at the closure of the period for submitting applications, which ends on Nov 30.
Deputy Chief of the arrest team at the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) Ahmed Al-Shemmari announced the discovery of 11 cases of stealing water and electricity during the campaign carried out by the concerned team recently, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Shemmari said the campaign also resulted in the discovery of a number of encroachments on facilities which belong to the ministry; indicating the 12-hour campaign covered five governorates: Capital, Hawally, Ahmadi, Mubarak Al-Kabir and Farwaniya. He revealed that Team Leader Adnan Dashti supervised the campaign, during which the team uncovered various violations; including the use of electricity without installing meters, changing the size of cables without consulting the ministry, moving cables from their original locations and improper consumption of water.
He said the team coordinated with Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) after finding out that some workers in a shopping mall were using fire extinguishing hose to wash cars; thereby, wasting a large quantity of water. He added water supply will be cut off for those proven to have committed violations until they submit reconciliation letters to the relevant committee at the ministry according to the law. He affirmed several verbal warnings were given to citizens regarding the wastage of water, in line with the strategy of the ministry in raising awareness before issuing citations for violations.
