Moh Formed Comtee To Investigate The Truth About Doctors Who Allegedly Graduated From Arts Section
Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi has formed a committee to investigate the truth about doctors who allegedly graduated from the Arts section in secondary stage, reports Annahar daily.
In a statement, Al-Harbi noted the most important aspect of the issue involves a doctor who earned a certificate from an international university, which Kuwait does not recognize. He stressed the entire scenario will become clear when investigation is concluded by the Ministry of Higher Education in that regard.
The Ministry of Health has denied statements alleging that Minister Al- Harbi hired an attorney to recover the money squandered by the health office in Germany, affirming the minister did not issue any press statement concerning the medical offices abroad.
;In another development, the Law No. 1 of 1999 on health insurance for foreigners and the imposition of fees for health services stipulate that the health services in the country should be provided with the health insurance and health guarantee system in accordance with the provisions of this law, provided it does not conflict with the Islamic Sharia, reports Al-Anba daily quoting senior legal sources.
The sources explained Article 3 of the law stipulates that the insurance companies shall provide health insurance services in accordance with the conditions and controls set by the Ministry of Health. The sources added Article 4 states: ‘The health insurance stipulated in this law — which is borne by employers in accordance with the law — shall cover the following basic health services.
They include medical examination and treatment in clinics by general practitioners and specialists, laboratory tests and radiation, surgery except plastic surgery, treatment and medicine, hospital accommodation in normal and emergency situations and normal dental treatment.
