Moh Is Making Preparations To Supply Pharmacies With Advanced Medicines

Ministry of Health is making preparations to supply pharmacies at Hussein Makki Al-Jumah Cancer Center with advanced medicines for cancer patients, and KD 4.2 million has been earmarked for the project.

The daily quoting a reliable source disclosed the intention to ensure improved healthcare services for patients and visitors to the center, while the quantity of medicines will not reduce. He stressed the ministry is on the verge of supplying public hospitals and the specialist clinics medicines for psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis at a cost of KD 1.2 million, in addition to polio vaccines worth KD 1.1 million for all preventive health departments at health centers and hospitals.

He noted the ministry has since obtained approvals from concerned authorities to import medicines and vaccines, while pharmacies at the hospitals and health centers will receive medicines for diabetes, rheumatism, nervous system and kidney at a cost of KD 2.5 million. He indicated medicines for viral diseases at the Infectious Diseases Hospital will cost KD 199,000, in addition to anesthesia for treatment of drug addicts at the Rehabilitation Center.
