Moh Launches Medicine Home Delivery Service Today

The Ministry of Health (MoH) will start today, Sunday, in coordination with the Fire Department,  to deliver medicines to patients from all public hospitals and specialized centers in the country through a home delivery service.

The Ministry requested patients to telephone or send a message through WhatsApp to the pharmacy of the hospital or the specialized center in the morning, which has the patient’s medical file.

The requests will be reviewed and crosschecked via WhatsApp including the name and the civil number, file number, home address, and phone number along with the medicine list. The second step is the verification of data before the pharmacist prepares drugs/medicines as per the prescriptions.

Medicines for chronic diseases will be reviewed according to the patient’s medical history and the last prescription on file. The third step is delivering medicines to the patient within 72 hours and making sure the patient is at home to answer medical questions and followup for further utilizing of the service.
