Moi Finds Way To Collect Dues From Kuwaitis For Deported Domestic Servants
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has finally found a way to collect dues from citizens who fail to pay for the expenses, particularly the cost of air ticket, for their domestic servants when they are deported from the country for violating the residence or labor laws, or caught for committing a crime and this means even if they were reported absconding by the sponsor, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added, the Ministry of Interior has established a link with the Citizens Service Centers in all governorates for this purpose and according to reliable sources if the citizen fails to pay what he/she owes the ministry, his/her transactions will be blocked, whatever the nature of the transactions.
Those who are particularly targeted are visa traders. Security sources told the daily, when the time comes for deportation, it is the Ministry of Interior who bears the expenses because it is obliged to buy the tickets from its own budget. However, the ministry will continue to do this but will block the transactions of the respective citizens until the money is paid back to the ministry.
