Moi Said Not Allow Bedoun To Organize Rallies, gatherings Or Demonstrations
The Ministry of the Interior said it will not allow bedoun to organize rallies, gatherings or demonstrations or sit-ins of whatever nature in any place, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting reliable sources. The same sources said this came following calls in the social media for this category of people to demonstrate near the Jahra Hospital on Friday, Feb 16 (tomorrow), a security source revealed. The same source said the bedoun are called upon by the ministry to maintain law and order in the best interest of public security.
The source added violators of the laws will be legally liable for punishment. The source stressed the State is keen to resolve the issue and everyone is given his/her right according to his/her legal status based on documented proof. The source pointed out the ministry had earlier allowed them to express their views and demands and the issue is with the concerned authorities. The source explained, police investigations have revealed there some what it called ‘hidden hands’ and ‘cells’ who are believed to be residing outside the country and are inciting those living inside the country with the aim of impeding solution to this thorny issue. The source added a large group of people who claim to be bedoun know that when the issue comes up they will be exposed.
