Moj Affirmed His Keenness For The Full Implementation Of E-government Project

Minister of Justice and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Faleh Al-Azeb affirmed his keenness for the full implementation of e-government project, revealing that there was no e-government when he took up the ministerial position.

He said the egovernment service is almost ready but some final touches are required, indicating that the electronic interfacing is yet to be completed. The minister affirmed that transactions can be completed within few minutes through e-government service, revealed that a number of services of the ministry were recently turned into electronic services with the aim of facilitating procedures for the public.

Regarding the electronic interface between Ministry of Justice and the rest of the state bodies, Dr Al-Azeb stressed that this is part of the e-government project adopted by the State for improving the level of services offered and for facilitating the procedures in a manner that will save time and effort.

He said some new services have also been added due to the electronic interfaces with some ministries such as Ministry of Information, Ministry of Finance and other such state bodies.

Dr Al-Azeb explained that these services include request by creditors for issuance of travel ban on debtors, request for the arrest of debtors, and request for executive reservation. He said the project “KIOSK” will enable users of the e-services to follow-up using their civil ID number. The minister affirmed the importance of the interface between Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Interior, as they are partners of the justice authority.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior as well as Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Verification of Citizenship Sheikh Khalid Al- Jarrah Al-Sabah has issued decision No. 11/5 of the year 2017 concerning withdrawal of citizenship based on the Amiri decree No. 15/1959. The Kuwaiti citizenships of four individuals were withdrawn based on article No. 11 from the Amiri decree.
