Mp Abdulhamid Dahsti Was Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison For Defaming Saudi Arabia

Kuwaiti MP Abdulhamid Dahsti was sentenced to 3 years in prison for defaming Saudi Arabia.

The Criminal Court convicted him, in absentia, of spreading false news last November, damaging national interests and relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Known for his pro-Iran stances is facing up to 50 years in prison in connection of a string of court cases.

He was convicted of defaming Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and compromising Kuwait’s diplomatic relations with other countries.
