Mp Has Submitted Proposal On Granting Rent Allowance To Kuwaiti Women Married To Non-kuwaitis

MP Askar Al-Anazi has submitted a proposal on granting rent allowance to Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis, provide social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs, and pay rent for divorced Kuwaiti women and widows who do not own houses. He explained some Kuwaiti women are suffering because they have been deprived of their rights and they are not treated like their male counterparts in some aspects, although the Constitution stipulates equal rights and duties for men and women.

Furthermore, MP Majed Al-Mutairi has proposed establishment of specialized universities in the six governorates, giving priority to rare and vital fields of specialization. He said this should be accompanied with a media awareness campaign to encourage Kuwaiti youths to specialize in fields that the State needs. He also emphasized the importance of developing the educational system to ensure “high quality” of outputs, as well as focusing on human resource development which is essential for the advancement of a nation and its people.
