Mp Riyadh Al-adsani Has Criticized The Failure To Approve The Conflict Of Interests Bill

MP Riyadh Al-Adsani has criticized the failure to approve the Conflict of Interests Bill until now. He pointed out this delay could be one of the reasons behind the 10 points drop in Kuwait’s ranking in the Corruption Perceptions Index – from 75 in 2016 to 85 in 2017. He said the fugitive former director of the Public Institution for Social Security tampered with public funds and damaged the reputation of Kuwait.

Asked about updates on issues he raised earlier such as the violations in the Interior Ministry and misappropriation of public money amounting to KD23 million, Al-Adsani asserted, “We are not lax in dealing with the hospitality clause in the ministry, especially since the investigation results proved what we previously stated about the issue.”
