Mp Riyadh Al-adsani Has Threatens Grilling Of Pm
The parliamentary Business Environment Improvement Committee on Tuesday reached an agreement with the government team that financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) should be in accordance with the Islamic Law.
Committee Rapporteur MP Osama Al-Shaheen said the panel found out that the government delayed the disbursement of national worker financial support for 900 Kuwaitis working in micro-enterprises. He added the government team promised to provide the committee with all the necessary information in this regard.
On the other hand, Al-Shaheen asked Minister of Oil, Electricity and Water Bakheet Shibeeb Al-Rasheedi to ensure equality between citizens working in the public oil sector and their counterparts in private oil companies in terms of salaries, housing and food.
He stressed the need for the government intervention to guarantee fair treatment of Kuwaiti employees in private oil companies.
MP Riyadh Al-Adsani has threatened to grill HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah if the government increases fees for services provided to citizens. He said the government must stop wastage of public funds instead of adding to the burdens of citizens. He also announced his plan to present financial statements and imbalances in a press conference on Thursday.
Moreover, the Foreign Affairs Committee meeting slated for Tuesday was postponed due to lack of quorum despite the presence of Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al- Sabah. The committee was supposed to discuss a draft law approving the memorandum of understanding on security cooperation between the governments of the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq, as well as the latest political developments in regional and international arenas in relation to the current situation in the region and some Arab countries.
Furthermore, MP Khalid Al-Shatti said Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh exuded efficiency and competence during her grilling. Al-Shatti stressed his opinion is based on a thorough study of issues raised in the interpellation motion, in addition to the documents and arguments presented by both parties and consultation with experts whom he had the honor to work with.
