Nine Stolen Cars Recovered As Police Bust Robbers Gang
Police have taken into custody an unidentified Syrian and are looking for four of his accomplices for stealing cars, reports Al- Anba daily.
A security source said patrolmen on duty in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh saw five men in two cars parked side by side deeply involved in conversation. However, when they saw the patrol car approaching they got out of their cars and ran for their lives. Police chased and managed to seize the Syrian.
The Syrian, who is believed to be 17 years old, then guided police to the cars which they had stolen and abandoned on open grounds – a white Colt, plate number 8/46486; blue Pajero, 14/1279; silver Camry, 27/9123; white Honda, 9/68328; white Mazda bus, 5/8710; black Honda, 1/71505; dark blue Honda, 37/4458; red Cherokee Jeep, 8/55456 and dark blue Honda, 9/34278
The interrogations with the suspect were led by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major-General Abdel Fattah Al-Ali, and Director of Farwaniya Security Directorate Major-General Fahd Al-Shuwaie. The theft cases on the stolen cars were filed at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.
