No Corona Virus Cases Detected
Director of Adan Hospital Bader Al-Oteibi affirmed that “no case of Coronavirus has been recorded in the hospital until now, according to laboratory analyses and statement from the Intensive Care Unit”, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Oteibi said the hospital has taken necessary preventive measures to deal with all cases of Pneumonia referred to the Intensive Care Unit, adding blood sample of the patient is taken periodically for testing. He pointed out that the hospital is fully equipped to handle any infection, seeing Kuwait is not immune to the virus- just like all other countries around the world.
Meanwhile, Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) is ready to pay KD 800 for each cow slaughtered for congenital diseases. The sum will be paid in compensation to the owners of two farms in Suleibiya area, reports Al-Rai daily.
In this context, Deputy Director General for Livestock Affairs Hanadi Bastaki said PAAAFR has finished counting all cows in the two farms infected by the disease, and the animals will be slaughtered as part of preventive measures against the spread of the disease in future. He reaffirmed that technical teams embark on regular inspection trips to spray and disinfect the farms to keep them safe, in coordination with Ministry of Health.
