Officers Arrested 14 Kuwaiti Citizens In Possession Of 25 Hunting Rifles

Officers from General Department for Weapons Collection launched a campaign in Failaka Island during which they arrested 14 Kuwaiti citizens in possession of a total of 25 hunting rifles known locally as ‘Shozen’.

Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi formed a security team after receiving information about a group of people hunting in Failaka Island. The team launched a sudden campaign in the island and arrested the suspects who were referred with the confiscated hunting rifles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

The sources affirmed that securitymen will continue to carry out such campaigns and raids of houses, chalets and livestock pens to confiscate unlicensed weapons.
