29 December 2015 Kuwait

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Borders Affairs at the Interior Ministry Major General Faisal Al-Senin has asked the General Legal Affairs Department on the legality of allowing children below 12 years old to travel without a companion, reports Al-Rai daily.

In his letter, Al-Senin pointed out some airline companies usually book tickets for children below 12 years old with the approval of their parents who pay extra fees for the airline crew to take care of the children while they are travelling unaccompanied. He wants the department to confirm the legality of such procedures.
