A Shrinkage Of Terror Triangle

19 April 2019 Opinion

COUNTRIES which capitalize on destructive schemes in the Arabian region throughout the past years are used to accusing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the GCC countries in general, of helping terrorist groups. They do this by taking Wahhabism ideology as the hanger for allegations and fabrications.

The motives and objectives behind these allegations are not a secret in terms of various notables in the region. These allegations are being exposed more and more through documents, events and incidents that revealed Iran’s involvement in conspiracy schemes for terrorist networks.

This is manifested in Iran’s sheltering of leaders of the al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood groups; as well as the secret alliances between them and their militia groups such as Hezbollah and Khazali Network (Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq), among other gangs hatched by the Mullahs.

They took advantage of Iraq’s exploding situation by playing the tone of sectarian sedition, facilitating the release of terrorists from jails, and providing them with military equipment and logistical support in order to control more areas in Iraq and Syria.

All these allegations shrunk in front of public opinion. In fact, they were exposed after the retreat of ISIL and its brothers in Syria and Iraq, particularly after Turkey transported the retreating terrorists to Libya in an attempt to make the latter a new refuge for those groups with the help of Iran.

The outcome was clearly based on the Iranian-Turkish-Israeli intersection of interests to push matters to the wall and towards the populist uprising against regimes as a preliminary step to cordon off major Arab countries, and corner them such that they accept every condition set by the triangle.

Turkey and Iran have their own objectives. Turkey is striving to impose itself on the European Union by portraying itself as an important player in the region, and has influence on some Arab countries through the Muslim Brotherhood Group.

On the other hand, Iran saw an exit from the crisis in the nuclear deal. Iran thought that doors to the world were opened for it through blackmailing in negotiations. It continued to implement the scheme until the US took a decisive step to abort this monstrous deal.

There is another destructive player, the main beneficiary of division in the Arab world – none other than Israel which strives for de facto Jewish State and neutralization of the Palestinian case.

Israel’s interest found its historic place in the Turkey-Iran destructive interests in a bid to achieve the vision of former prime minister David Ben-Gurion – to divide Arab countries from inside. Hence, it supported directly or indirectly the destructive scheme and saved itself from a lot of turbulence in a preliminary step to ensure the success of what is known as ‘deal of the century’.

Based on this, the interests of the three parties met to support, protect and encourage terrorist movements. They used their allegations against Wahhabism ideology to corner the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries in order to push them towards major destructive plans.

However, all of those attempts failed. All that is left for countries, which launched false accusations in the region, is to reconsider their calculations and review their strategies; because they put themselves in a trap far bigger than their ability to exit from it.
