Pam Is Now Ready To Issue Work Permits For Those Who Hold Micro-financing Licenses

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is now ready to issue work permits for those who hold micro-financing licenses, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources from the authority. Sources said the authority is waiting for the final mechanism which will be laid down by the joint committee between the Ministry of Commerce and Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) on procedures granting employees’ financial support for those who hold micro-financing licenses Sources explained, “It will be known through the final mechanism if the registration of labor files will depend on the licenses,” expecting that the first permit will be issued very soon for those with micro-financing licenses.

Sources from MGRP have affirmed that granting financial support depends entirely on the work permit as per the Cabinet Council’s decision. Sources pointed out that procedures for granting financial support to holders of micro-financing licenses will not be delayed once the work permit is issued, adding the MGRP is very cautious in the disbursement of funds and it ensures the validity of the license to prevent reemergence of dummy employees.
