Philippine Embassy In Kuwait No Longer Extends The Validity Of Passports

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the public that it no longer extends the validity of Philippine passports effective immediately. This follows a directive from the Department Of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations and the Chicago Convention.

The Embassy will only allow passport validity extension in special cases such as death, medical emergency. or urgent work-related travels. Applicants must present documentary evidence supporting the above-mentioned cases However, extension of passport validity is not a guarantee or entry to other
countries

The public is advised to apply for passport renewal at the Embassy seven months to one year before the expiry date on the passport data page.
