Plan To Intensify Raids On Domestics Offices
The Home Employment and Residence Affairs departments plan to open the windows of communication to entertain the complainants – citizens and residents – on the issue of domestic workers complaints and discuss them and work to solve them, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality and Passports Affairs, Major-General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf, presided over a meeting Monday in the presence of the Acting Director-General of the Residence Affairs Department Brigadier AbdulQader Al-Shaaban and Director of Domestic Employment Department Mohammed Al-Ajmi.
The meeting reviewed the issue of domestic labor and discussed the mechanism of developing a new policy to regulate the recruitment of labor and eliminate the negative consequences of the current system.
The meeting also discussed the development of a plan of action to eliminate the fake offices and prepare a new plan to control the violators by intensifying the inspection campaigns on the offices of domestic workers.
