Plastic Eyed Fish Clip Goes Viral

The Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is conducting intensive investigation into the video clip that went viral on social media showing a fishmonger replacing the eyes of fish with plastic to make it appear fresh, reports Al- Rai daily. The video clip was posted by a woman who said she was cleaning the fish and was shocked when she found plastic eyes instead of the natural ones. Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan ordered intensive investigations to verify authenticity of the video clip in a bid to ensure that it is not malicious and to pave way for summoning the suspect.
