Regional Conference On The Protection Of Children From Social Media

The Ministry of Interior said Monday it will hold a regional conference on the protection of children from social media hazards between March 21-23.

The conference, the first of its kind in Kuwait, will be held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.

The event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, along with a constellation of scholars and specialists, it added.

The conference will feature several workshops that aim to raise public awareness about social media perils, and to look into the effective ways of protecting children from relevant risks and instilling noble values into their minds, the ministry noted.
